Listen to James Fauntleroy’s New Holiday Album “The Warmest Winter Ever”

As the season of giving begins to wrap us in its festive embrace, James Fauntleroy is gearing up to release his new holiday album, The Warmest Winter Ever. James clearly looks to redefine our winter playlists with melodic love songs that reimagine Christmas songs in unexpected yet refreshing way.

Today, James dropped eight new tracks from what will be a 25-track LP that I expect to remain in rotation far beyond just this holiday season. From the first notes, it's clear that this album is a departure from traditional holiday music. On "Bad Bad Bad," he sets the tone with sultry vocals and a bassline that demands attention. The smooth transition into a contemporary R&B groove infuses the familiar warmth of the season with a fresh and exciting energy.

On “Sleigh,” James sings over his own vocals as instruments, seemingly becoming a one-man a capella group. Much of The Warmest Winter Ever shows James flexing his extensive vocal range with background vocals sung by him layered on top of each other.

This is James Fauntleroy showing up at your door this holiday season, accompanied by four other octaves of himself and a keyboard. Be prepared to deliver some of the best caroling you’ve ever experienced.

James, who's no stranger to critical acclaim, received his seventh GRAMMY® Award Nomination this year for NOVA, his collab album with Terrace Martin. NOVA was for Best Progressive R&B Album.
