Football Fans React To Jarvis Landry Signing With The New Orleans Saints

Wide Reciever Jarvis Landry has signed a one-year contract with The New Orleans Saints.

Landry announced his latest move on his social media accounts with a video post. Captioned "HOME !!! WHO DAT NATION SEE YOU SOON," on Instagram, the 40-second flix shows current training highlights mixed with old highlight footage of him playing college football at Louisiana State University. The Saints' logo was revealed at the end of the video, making the move official.

Jarvis Landry, whose accolades include being a 5x Pro Bowler (three seasons with the Miami Dolphins and two with the Cleveland Browns), will join fellow LSU alumni and recent signee Tryann Mathieu (WR) on The Saint's receiving line. According to ESPN, the 5-foot-11, 196-pound 29-year-old receiver's career stats across eight seasons include 688 receptions for 7,598 yards and 37 touchdowns.

Though Landry hasn't spoken to the media recently, the wide receiver has used social platforms to share the news regarding his career in the NFL. Prior to publicizing his homecoming back to The Big Easy, in a series of tweets back in February, the pro-American football player shared the timeline of his injuries and recovery and his desires to stay in Cleveland.

"Reality behind all this is I came back to play in the best shape of my life, I got hurt [in] week 2 with a high-grade MCL Sprain, Partial quad tear, and bone bruise. Then came back way too early and ended up staying hurt the entire season. You never heard me mention anything about it," the first tweet read. "Also my media availability didn’t happen because I was focused on getting on the field as healthy as possible during the week and after games.. a strategic plan was set in place to be followed. I put the ball in CLE court by telling them I would like to stay but if not then I have put the ball in CLE court by telling them I would like to stay but if not then I’m confident enough in myself to be a better healthy me this year and moving forward to helping do my part in winning a championship elsewhere," the final two tweets explained, reported by Cleveland.com.

News of Landry's return to New Orleans had everyone from LSU's official twitter account to Saints' safety Ceedy Duce excited. Check out our favorite social media reactions below.
