Giveon Suits Up In Bottega Veneta For The 2022 Billboard Awards

Fall is months away, but that isn’t stopping runway looks from the FW22 from making red carpet appearances. The latest celebrity to showcase fashions before the rest of us have access to them is emerging talent singer Giveon in Bottega Veneta.

The seven-time Grammy-nominated artist arrived at the 2022 Billboard Awards in look 6g from Bottega Veneta's Fall/Winter 2022 collection. The green, black and white chevron suit on the runway was styled shirtless with a matching fuzzy coat, black boots, and a leather handbag. Giveon ditched the outerwear and added a black top to layer under the suit jacket with silver jewelry (a few necklaces and a ring) to finish his look.

The Bottega Veneta look was a part of Matthieu Blazy’s first collection for the brand as their Creative Director following his appointment in November after Daniel Lee’s sharp departure. On designing this collection, Blazy told Vogue backstage at the show, “The idea was to bring back energy, a silhouette that really expressed motion, because Bottega is a bag company, so you go somewhere, you don’t stay home. This collection basically is a journey. There’s many characters, they all have places to go, they feel quite free.” Blazy's lineup of Bottega menswear included leather trousers paired with tank tops and colorful knits, peacoats crafted from wool and leather, and tremendous-sized leather man bags.

Giveon, who just dropped a new track entitled "Lie Again," a few weeks ago, also recently talked with Harper's Bazaar about what he's learned about impressing fan while performing. “I’ve learned that when someone's watching a performer, what impresses people the most is how comfortable they are. When someone can see that you can stand in front of a hundred thousand people, and look like you’re just in front of your friends, I think that feels like a superpower to be able to be that composed and focused.”
