7 Brands Gucci Has Collaborated With

Fashion loves a collaboration! Whether it’s the joining of two luxury fashion houses to create an omega level collection or an up-and-coming indie designer adding the ultimate cool factor to a legacy brand that offers serious visibility, the joining of two brands is sure to cause excitement. 2021 was a huge year for brand collars. in the 365 days that brought us Covid-19 we witness Dior join forces with Sacai, Converse tap Telfar, and Puma launch a capsule line with Maison Kitsuné. But some brands have more partnership expectations than others, like Italian fashion house Gucci.

Gucci has teamed up with numerous brands from diverse industries on exclusive collections. From fellow fashion lines to K-pop artists, here are 7 brands Gucci has collaborated with.


GUCCI x ADIDAS

This isn’t Adidas' first time at the fashion collaboration rodeo as past collaborations with the three stripes brand include Jeremy Scott and Yohji Yamamoto. Debuted at the Gucci Fall/Winter 2022 runway show in Milan, the “Exquisite Gucci” collection showcase and trefoil Adidas x Gucci logo on headwear, blazers, and tracksuits.


GUCCI x THE NORTH FACE

Arguably one of the most critically acclaimed fashion drops of 2020, Gucci and outerwear brand The North Face made their collaboration debut with a stylish bang. Puffer jackets, backpacks, and boots featured The North Face half dome logo over Gucci Monogram, while hooded sweatshirts and knitwear highlighted nature-inspired illustrations.


GUCCI x BALENCIAGA

For the Italian fashion house centennial anniversary, Gucci shocked the fashion industry with a collaboration (or a power hack, as the brands called it) with Balenciaga. Presented in a short fashion film from Gucci entitled "Aria," Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele, and Balenciaga creative director Demna Gvasalia (who also co-founded Vetements) incorporated both brand's aesthetics into apparel, shoes, and accessories.



GUCCI x DISNEY

Internationally beloved entertainment and media conglomerate Disney has collaborated with Gucci before. Two of their most iconic cartoon characters, Micky Mouse and Donald Duck, have had their faces appear on t-shirts, low-top sneakers, denim jackets, and sweatshirts. The two label's ongoing partnership has celebrated 2020s Lunar Year of the Rat,” as well as Micky’s 90th birthday back in 2018.


GUCCI x COMME DES GARÇON

Gucci and COMME des GARÇON ongoing partnership has produced several unique collaborative shopper-style tote bags and accessories. In 2015, the Italian and Japanese brands joined forces on a capsule collection of floral scarves stamped with each brand's logo stamped. Then Gucci and COMME des GARÇON introduced bags. Past styles include updating CDG’S plastic paper tote bag, and a floral wallpaper-inspired print tote. This most recent shopper from the two labels comes in an all-black colorway with Gucci’s signature vertical green and red Web stripe running down the center. COMME des GARÇON branding is written horizontally across the center of the bag. The Gucci x Comme des Garçons Shopper retails for $525 at Dover Street Market.


GUCCI x XBOX

Even fashion loves gaming! For Xbox’s 20th birthday, the two brands came together for a limited-edition collaboration of 100 game consoles. With each game system numbered, the exclusive Xbox’s featured a laser-engraved GG monogram design with the signature web stripes on the controllers, and a vintage Gucci-inspired hard case to carry everything.

GUCCI x KAI

After years of being a global ambassador for the luxury brand, K-pop artist Kia landed a fashion collaboration with Gucci. The capsule collection incorporates the interlocking double GG monogram print paired with a playful teddy bear motif on clothes, trainers, and accessories.
