Botter Stole Paris Fashion Week With The Color Blue

Rushemy Botter and partner Lisi Herrebrugh, designer of Botter, have established themselves as a brand keen on developing in-depth creative concepts for their fashion and accessories collections. This September, we've seen this idea at work with the brand's Black Is Beautiful accessories campaign starring model Mountaga Diop sporting the Botter pick, gun-tagged embroidered cap, and fishing lure earrings and necklaces. Then we witnessed it on day 2 of Paris Fashion Week when the designing duo presented their Spring 2022 "GLOBAL WARMING" Collection.

Botter and Herrebrugh are serious about climate change and have been since the debut of their Botter Coral Nursery in collaboration with CURious2DIVE alongside the autumn/winter 2021 collection. The spring lineup is a continuation of the upcycled umbrella windbreakers and fish-bait adorned suits but, for the upcoming season, springtime is calling for hues of blue. Classic suiting, oversized polos paired with slim-fit pants, logo tanks, and trendy crossbody cardholders, many of the collection's key pieces hit the runway in shades of blue.

Notable uses of color appeared on custom spray-painted suits in collaboration with artist Ibby Njoya but, Botter's powerful message translating across their website, social media, and initiatives, and for the second season, their collection made the ocean hue all the more impactful. I'd say Botter, who's celebrating four years presenting a collection during Paris Fashion Week, is flowing in the right direction.
