Rapper Style's P Just Made Us Want Cop A Pair of adidas Forum Sneakers
Style’s P may have more stripes than adidas, judging by his most recent Instagram post.
Rappers love sneakers! From owning extensive footwear collections to collaborating on a line of their own (hey Cardi B & Reebok and Drake and Jordan Brand), the footwear on a hip-hop artist is arguably just as important as the car they're driving or the ice bezel on their wrist. For many sneaker aficionados --artist or not--, it's customary to celebrate a new addition to the daily rotation by flexing said pair of trainers on social media. That's exactly what rapper Styles P did.
On display in a white crate, the Yonkers, New York native put his spin on the widely popular crate challenge by featuring a pair of adidas Forum 84 Hi Sneakers. Coming in a Cloud White, White Tint and Glory Green colorway, the classic lace-ups come with a leather upper, a rubber tonal sole and a hook and loop ankle strap to secure the kicks firmly around your feet. The signature trefoil stamped on the Tongue and upper of the shoe add the final bit of details to round out the adidas appearance.
Debuting in the 80s in France, the adidas Forum comes in low, mid and high top styles and was once a sneaker worn by Michael Jordan at the US Olympics Trials before signing a deal with Nike.
Nearly 40 years later, the adidas Forum, designed by Jacques Chassaing, has withstood the test of times as a clean and classic shoe. S.P. the Ghost thinks so. "Love is love and thank you very much highly appreciated... these are my joints ... give me that 80’s feel.. nostalgic vibes," Holiday Styles captioned his adidas sneaker pic on the gram. Make sure you keep them crispy, my guy.
