These Black Models Held It Down For The Culture During Milan Fashion Week
As the fashion industry sets its sights on the Paris, we have to double back to Milan to high light the black and brown faces that held it down on the runways. While our industries diversity problem is moving at a snail's pace in the right direction, there's still a need and want for more size, race, gender and age inclusion. This past NYFW season, on 37.4% of the models who helped bring the Fall 2018 collections to life were models of color, and there's not much of a difference in numbers when you look on the catwalks in London, Milan, and Paris. So before we get PFW on and popping, check out these models representing for the culture at MFW.
